Colorado Kids Give Gift of Art

BoulderShares® founder and daughter stand in front of a banner of artwork created by Colorado students to cheer up earthquake survivors in the Medishare field hospital in Port-au-Prince. The patients loved the brightly colored pictures and words of encouragement as much as the children in Colorado loved creating them. The banner hung in the adult tent until Medishare moved to its current home at l'hopital Bernard Mevs. Artwork from some of the Haitian children now resides in Boulder, Colorado.

Tracing hands, sharing hearts. Poverty tears people apart, separating and stratifying them, art brings them together.

Artistic Expression

This is Pablo Picasso (no joke!) holding his rendition of his grateful heart after receiving long term care in the Medishare army field hospital where he healed for several weeks after the earthquake. The original work now lives in Boulder, Colorado.
