Holiday Meals on the Go Program – 2020

BoulderShares was delighted and honored to partner with the Foundation for New Education Initiatives and the Miami Beach restaurant, Santorini by Georgio to provide a total of 700 holiday “meals on the go” to students and their families, teachers and all staff of 2 elementary schools located in “food deserts” in Little Haiti and Liberty City.

Each meal fed three so donor dollars were leveraged 3 fold. This endeavor also helped the school reconnect with “lost” students and their families as staff hand delivered some meals to their homes.

The children and staff were appreciative and happy to bring the generous portions of rice, beans and chicken home to share with siblings and parents.

Many of the students are learning remote, thus missing their 2 hot meals of the day, making this program even more meaningful.
